Thousands of residents from Lewisham came together on Saturday May 11 at Phoenix Community Housing's flagship community event to celebrate its fifth birthday. The annual Phoenix Festival drew huge crowds despite the wind and rain.  Residents celebrated the landmark event at Forster Park in Catford. Apprentices from Lewisham borough were celebrated at their very own graduation ceremony. On Friday 10 May, over 300 people flocked into The Broadway Theatre to join in the celebrations of Lewisham's apprentices and entrepreneurs from 2011-12. Special Guests at the event included The Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock and, and previous apprentice, Charlotte Sumner. MORE>>
